Wooyoung Choi

Wooyoung Choi is an artist based in Seoul that explores the emotional tension that emerges within relationship between the individual and the collective.

Through her recurring “black dot” figures—faceless bodies that represent oneself, others, and the crowd—she visualizes feelings of anxiety, emptiness, and quiet reassurance that coexist within human connection.

She has collaborated with global brands such as Levi’s and participated in a short film ‘Surviving in an Impolite World’ as the art director. She has also shown her artworks in many exhibitions such as for The Untitled Void, Forum Space and Kimreeaa Gallery in Seoul.
